Alocasia cuprea

  I purchased this from Logees Greenhouse in February, 1997 during my annual trek there.  It's growing quite slowly.  About the only special problem that crept up was the release of the last leaf.  It didn't unfold from the stem.  The petiole was clearly ready to support a mature leaf but the leaf wouldn't come out.   I accidentally tore the leaf when I attempted to release it.  I don't think there could have been any easier way to release it.
